Eumundi local Mike Welsh creates beautiful items from natural, recycled and salvaged materials including leather, soapstone, sandstone, horn,   bone and timber. His craft skills vary from designing and making custom made jewellery to creating exquisite  timber furniture. Especially beautiful are the large diameter sandstone  bowls, each individually turned by  lathe at his home just outside Eumundi near Noosa

Mike's recent addition to his range is his "Black Dot Timber" bread boards. These have been hand crafted using recycled Australian timber (excluding Camphor Laurel due to its toxicity).  The signature black dot is Gabon Ebony, a very expensive timber which has been inlayed into the board.  These have been manually hand finished, sealed with bees wax and polished.
